Feed It Forward

What a great program this time of year. If you go to Feed It Forward you can give up to 40-$10 gift cards to various restaurants. I gave a few to my contacts and gave the rest of mine to the RAOK (random acts of kindness). And you can do it every day!!!

Just somethin' fun to do this season:O) I hope ya'll are ready for Thankgiving tomorrow. I will be...I quit my job today. It was too much stress for too little money. I have never in my life been treated like I was treated by the owners/bosses. I was a great server that never had any problems and I actually had a customer send money for a tip. He and his wife had come in after a ride up from Texas and forgot to tip me. He was so upset he forgot that his wife called for my name and they sent me a tip a few days later. I took good care in pleasing my customers and making them happy, while the owners only cared of makin' a buck, not carin' if the customers were happy (they wouldn't even buy sugar free syrup as I was told *we don't do that*...what???). Small town minds make for some assholes who don't care about other people...just how much further ahead they can get.

So today we get to do the food shoppin' for tomorrow and also see if we can find  wii for the kids for Christmas. Brandon got his bonus and our wii has been broke. Since the kids totally dig mario...a wii it is:O) Let's hope we can find one in poe-dunk.

P.S. The pic is of what happened to our frickin' $400 trampoline when we had some straightline winds about a month ago. Didn't get much rain from the storm, just wind. And I'll tell ya, I heard the wind blow then outta nowhere, it sounded as if a small train was comin' though...scary!! O-and we did get about 7 inches of rain the last few days...a real toad strangler!!!

Bait and switch...

I feel totally let down. We moved here thinkin' we would be close to family, have get-togethers...the whole big family, fairytale. It has come down to not even bein' invited to the family Thanksgiving dinner. And why, you might ask? I couldn't explain and don't know why. That's the part that sucks the most. Family may not always get along but family is still family. And especially this time of year (which has always been a favorite of mine, do to how I was raised) when family should be sooooo thankful for the people we do have in our lives...and remember the one's we have lost.

I've been so busy workin' that I haven't had time to go shoppin' for the dinner I'm makin'. Should be all of us, my mom and maybe a few other aunts/cousins (the other folks that aren't as high up there in snotsville). I had planned on gettin' a wild turkey to go with the store-bought one we have but it doesn't look like there will be time...o-how I wish I had more time to hunt...just be quiet, listen, look and think about the big one:O) There should be more time in the day to just be outdoors and enjoy everything. Milkin' is very enjoyable and a way I loved to unwind...maybe I need another goatie girl;O)

Anyhoo, I need to make dinner but I didn't want this post to just be a vent (though I could go into my crappy day at work but won't...you're welcome!) so I found a fun site for the kids and family for Christmas Santa Letter . Hope ya'll find some enjoyment and have a great day/night!!
