I tried to reach out to my brother yesterday and received a short message that was to the point but lacked any real emotion or even an I love you. It made me sad but I keep tellin' myself that I can't control how people act, only my reaction...but it still hurt. I miss him.
Sometimes I think extended family is a falsity or an enigma. I am so thankful for the wonderful family Brandon and I have made and I pray we will always be as close as we are now.
