Well, since I started the new blog I thought I would give another intro for any newcomers.
I am Loree living in Redneck-ville (aka Tickville) Oklahoma. We moved here a little over a year ago to be close to my in-laws and Redneck's (Brandon's) dad. It has been one helluva year to say the least...but we are makin' it.
Our dream to own a ranch is finally comin' true but it's been a lot of hard work and disappointments.
So, a little about me...I'm 32 years old, have 4 beautiful, full of life kiddos, been married to Brandon for almost 3 years but together almost 11. I had a problem actually commiting for some reason but I think he finally wore down my walls I had around myself.
I love the farm and ranch life and couldn't live any other way. We have 3 horses...1 Mustang from Nevada, an Appaloosa/Arab and the new filly that's about 7 months old. We are also taking care of another little guy too for some family. He's a little older then Sassy Mornin', the filly. We also have a goat that will kid sometime in January and I can't wait!! I love to get outside and milk the goat in the quiet of the day...very relaxing!
I also love to cloth diaper our youngest boy, along with cloth wipes. I make my own solutions for the wipes and I also make soap, salves, lip balms...all sorts of stuff really. I truly hate all the crap that is put into our products and food. That is also why we want to raise our own food. The pasture should be cleared and ready for cattle soon if we can get a winter crop going. The weather has been pretty warm and roses are still blooming.
Here is the chicken/goat pen we worked on the other day. It is comin' along nicely. We got it fenced off on Wednesday and should be ready for chickens by the weekend...YEAH!!!! I will get pictures on here after we get finished and get the chickens in too. I LOVE chickens on the homestead...unless they're floggin' roo's, then it's only fun when they're floggin' someone else!
Well shoot...the internet out here in Tickville has been REALLY slow for the last few days. It's taking almost 5 minutes for 1 pic to load...UGGGG! And it loaded at the top...I have some learnin' do on this blog...lol. I guess I will have to save them for another day. I did want to let ya'll know of one of my favorites groups to belong to. It's http://freecycle.org/ . It's a great place to recycle stuff you may not need or find something you have been looking for. They have groups from all over the country, so see if they have one in your area! And don't throw it out...someone could use it, ya never know.
